Vera Clean is a family owned business in Australia producing a hospital-grade cleaning concentrate that simultaneously cleans, sanitises, deodorises, and protects from germ regrowth. I worked with the owner developing the brand, website, and print and digital marketing materials.

My Process

Brand Development
When I began working on Vera Clean it was already an established business. However, the logo needed some updating so it could be used at high quality on print and digital applications. I refined the logo and consolidated the colours and typography to future proof the brand.
Mariana's idea for the logo was to incorporate smiley faces into the bubbles, and I thought this was such a cute, novel idea. I tried to maintain and repeat this concept as much as possible in the logo and throughout the various marketing materials, aiming to keep the visual tone of the brand clean, modern, and bright, with a bit of texture to also emphasise the environmentally friendly nature of the product as well as the locally owned and made aspect of the business.
Website Research
I researched various competitors and cleaning product alternatives to explore what other brands are doing for their website and marketing. The aim of this exercise was to see what strategies and visual aesthetics I could glean for Vera Clean's own unique style and market niche.
Vera Clean is one of the only products on the market that can simultaneously clean, sanitise, deodorise, and protect from germs without fragrances, harsh chemicals, and it truly is an amazing product. So, I wanted to emphasise these features as much as possible on the website and social media without being too trend focused.
Design and Build
Designing and building the website was a pretty long process as I wanted to highlight the various features of Vera Clean in a simple and understandable way to appeal to the everyday consumer. This included editing down and simplifying a lot of the copy and site map. I also added quite a bit of relevant product information for SEO purposes and to make the product as transparent as possible for the consumer. I also designed and produced various brochures for web and print, including a cost refill table and free cleaning schedule to enhance engagement.
Marketing Materials
I used the style guide to further develop Vera Clean's online presence through various social media channels. This includes copywriting, various event campaigns, social media strategy, and video editing for Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube, with the aim to keep the brand personable, engaging, and emphasising Mariana's decades of cleaning, caring, and coaching experience in a relatable and personable way.
