Process
Here is a general outline of my process for most collaborative projects. If you would like to see how we can work together request a quote or email me directly.

Research
I begin pretty much every project by researching the industry and competitors, taking note of common motifs, visual tone, styles, colour schemes, and typography.
Sketching
I usually brainstorm by hand and may also take my initial ideas straight to Illustrator or Photoshop to quickly bash out some rough concepts. Once I've played around a bit and have a sense of the kind of composition/layout/style I want to push forward with, I begin applying my research more intentionally.

Digital Refinements
I make further refinements on the computer to consolidate refined concepts that are unique and meets the client's expectations. Once I have some monochrome compositions I like, I'll start experimenting with colour and fonts unless I am using an already defined style guide.

Initial Concepts
I'll communicate with the client once I have some strong concepts for approval which can take anywhere from one to a few weeks. I try to push for as many concepts as I can as this is where the foundation for the whole project takes shape, so I leave as much time as I can for this phase to make sure the end result is as strong as possible.
Feedback and iteration
This is usually the longest part of the whole process, and depending on the project complexity can take anywhere from 1 week to how long is a piece of string? Communication is super important to get the end result just right, so I try to spend a lot of time ensuring the client is happy and also addressing many of the little details that makes something go from ok to great.
Approval and handover
Once everything is approved, I do my best to facilitate a quick and smooth handover of any relevant deliverables. Ongoing maintenance requests and further refinements are common as creative work never really seems to be "finished"- so just let me know if any technical or feedback issues arise, or if you need further help and we can take it from where you're at.
